The Introvert

The Introvert was designed as part of a two-part exercise exploring the contrasting needs of natural light and privacy through spatial organization. The house is composed of distinct parts, each with its own cove or courtyard that creates a direct connection to the outdoors. Rooms with courtyards are arranged along the perimeter, encircling the central living space at the heart of the home. Windows in the living, dining, and kitchen areas are set back from the building’s outer edges, positioned within the voids between the surrounding rooms. Full-height glass panels feature minimal frames, while the building materials flow seamlessly between interior and exterior spaces.
